The show is even better directed (by Goldstein), choreographed (by Seán Curran), and designed than the fine 1992 Broadway production.

The first half holds up charmingly, thanks to Finn's gifts as a composer. And even with a second act that sags somewhat, director Daniel Goldstein and the fine cast maintain a sense of style and purpose. But for all the potential chaos, the action always moves elegantly from song to song and even from line to line within the songs. Finn's wit and Goldstein's direction are primarily responsible, but credit also goes to Michael Friedman and his little band of four, which sounds more like 40.

Director Daniel Goldstein, music director Michael Friedman and set designer David Korins don't disappoint with their visually stunning, kinetic production of the Tony Award winning musical Falsettos.
-Suzanne Bixby, Talkin Broadway

Director Daniel Goldstein has created a very tight production that moves efficiently but elegantly from one moment to the next. With more than three dozen musical numbers, there’s little time to waste. But Goldstein keeps the ship on course without it ever appearing rushed.
